Hiya, I've just been asked to design a site for a company that makes Ice-Hockey Shirts. What I want is a page with a shirt template where people looking at the site can design their own shirts. So they will be anble to change the colour, add stipes, hoops etc. and just design the shirts them selves.
Does anyone know a way of doing this in Flash or any other program?

Cheers

Dom

Flash will definitely do it but Dav is gonna have to tell you how.

Basically you assign parts of the shirt as variables and use the setProperty to change the color or whatever dynamically.....

Dav?

hi Dom

This is a method which I will shortly be making available for the guys at pinkzeppelin.com for their clients to view ther proposed building utilising varied materials and lighting effects.

It couldn't be simpler to do. Take one option: the colour of the shirt.>>>

1.make a movie-clip which has, in each keyframe, a different coloured shirt (ie:frame1 is blue, 2 is red etc) and label each frame "blue" "red" and so on. Then, assuming you're giving the user a pop-up with colour options, on the blue button you would just "tell" the movie-clip instance to "go to and stop" at the label "blue".

Just repeat the process for the other options. I would load the different options as separate movies, so that you could force the stripes onto a higher layer in order that they aren't hidden by a coloured layer.

hope it helps

ps: dom, were we e-mailing each other a while back about the "GALLERY". If it was you, the reason I didn't get back was because I checked out of hotmail because they messed up my contacts (ie: everyones e-mail address went down the pan) and since then i've been using the e-mail address below. So if it was you, drop me an e-mail, and pleease accept my apologies for something that was outwith my control. dave@davdesign.co.uk
