I work with a lot of photos of individuals in my company and try to touch them up as best I can. However, I have not been able to figure out which tool can help me reduce shininess on people's faces, expecially on their foreheads, cheeks and chins. Any suggestions?

Hi,

The tool that does that is only available in the latest version of Photoshop and it is called 'The Hrealing Brush'. So if that is an important issue>>> Upgrade.

I would use either HUE/SATURATION to the reds color or you could reduce the BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST, or you could do a combination of the 2 using channels. Read FAQ229-1959 on Channels. What you will want to do is flatten your image, then split the channels. Reduce the HUE/SATURATION in the red channel and/or the BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST, then merge the channels back together. Both HUE/SATURATION & BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST are both found in IMAGE|ADJUSTMENTS.

Hope this helps!
