shifting screen

Hi,

This is a MAC question. When I move my mouse around the images on my screen move around. When I move my mouse to the right (without the button being pushed) everything on my screen shifts a little to the left. This happens in all directions. Is it a mouse problem?

...this is normally the behavior of a scroll wheel on the mouse...

...does this happen ONLY in illustrator or photoshop as well?

...if just illustrator, try deleting the settings file on launch, hold down apple + alt/option + shift keys on launch of illustrator...

It isn't a program (illustrator, photoshop, etc.) It's a MAC problem.
This occurs even when no programs are open.

...try another mouse if you have one available...

...or test on another user account by creating another login account, if it occurs on the new user, then it is most probably a hardware issue...
