Hi,

Having some difficulty, the shift key which seems disabled.

What I can do is multiple select items in Illustrator using the shift key.

But, Holding down shift no longer constrains a rectangle or circle drawing to be perfectly square. It no longer constrains the latitude of an object when dragging left and right. Also, Option doesn't work either for duplicating objects.

Not sure how this happened, if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Hmmm... sometimes the Shift key can be whacked out if Caps Lock is active. But if Option doesn't work (looks like you're using a Mac)... seems like something's screwed up. Have you tried trashing your preferences (Do you still do that in OS X? I'm a vintage PPC Mac user ;) or reinstalling?

Try quitting and trashing prefs: User/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.illustrator.plist in OSX

In OS 9 or earlier it's in System Folder/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator/Adobe Illustrator preferences.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4
