How can I launch a vbs file shell from ASP? My situation is this:

I am writing a mass e-mail program to mail out product catelogues to clients who requested them. This list can become quite long, so I want to kick off a vbs file that runs in the background and takes care of all the mails, thus freeing the asp page up so that the user can continue working on other pages

Any suggestions?

I downloaded an addon called ASPExecute for running commands on the server. Works well for what I need, which is mainly just running batch files and other things that could probably be done in ASP as well but I'm too lazy to rig 'em up. )

It sounds like you're trying to send the catalog out as each user requests it.
I do something similar with catalog requests. When a customer requests a catalog I use CDO to auto reply back to him with the catalog attached.
