Does anyone have any good suggestion for a solvent to remove Sharpie marks on various telco. parts like 66 blocks and biscuits etc.?

In some cases alcohol preps that I keep in my tool box works then other times all I get is a faded old mark.

Thanks

No the Acetone works great but leaves a little bit of a oily film. Use the alcohol preps afterwards and you are good to go.

Do it the old school telco way, use the plastic end of a pair of dykes/pliers etc.

pbxn's solution works great. eomsthing else is a standard pencil eraser (the big pink one you had in school)

years ago we used finger nail polish remover, that had acetone in it , but i don't think it has it now

Goof Off II in a spray bottle available at lowes and Home depot. It is amazing.

Don't forget the new "Magic Eraser"'s!!! LOL they say they can clean anything, now I haven't tried it.. but hey... throwin it out there

I used to use a felt erase pen that you could buy in the stationary store that was for that purpose. Now in most schools around here the janitor has a box of wipes for removing graffiti, it works better. It dosnt damage the plastic surface. Sorry I dont know the name of them.

Write over the area with.................another sharpie, and then wipe it off with a tissue (or your finger) while it's still wet. Works every time.

The original White Pearl ink eraser will do the trick. Another one that I have used is the MARS plastic stick eraser by STAEDTLER. It works wonders on the 66M blocks & covers.

And your fingers won't dry out either!

You can usually get these from many arts & craft stores. But the big box places like Staples won't carry them.
