hello,

I am using the photo icon in a .pdf file to copy sections of text or images.
when I paste the selection in a word document, I get a grey image instead of a black and white one. the print quality is rather poor.

do you have any suggestion on how to do this?

Thanks.

Hi, What I normally do is paste it into the Paint program first save it as a 24-bit BMP or TIFF file and then in Word bring the pic in through Insert, Picture, From File.

We do a lot of screen captures from various sources and this method seems to work the best.

this is what i was doing until now. it is tedious since i have to copy a lot (i am preparing a solution manual)

I feel your pain. We just updated a couple of hundred process documents. Took us two and half months.
