Hi there,

Can somebody tell me, how could I make text more sharper in Flash. Though if I put 'on' the 'antialias' option, still the text won't look much more sharper..!!

So, if somebody know anything about this topic, please advice.

bye.

If you need sharp text at small sizes you can use pixel fonts (there are a few different sites which do these - miniml.com is one but they aren't free). Text must be placed on exact pixel boundaries and is restricted to certain font sizes but is really legible even at 8pt.

Other than that some fonts are easier to read than others (verdana was designed to be legible at small sizes) and you can always use system fonts or non-embedded dynamic text which will appear without anti-aliasing just like standard html text but means you have to design around the fonts that your users are likely to have installed.

maybe try choose the "Dynamic" option for the text instead of "Static"
?

But if you have to embed the font in a dynamic textfield for whatever reason, the font will be anti-aliased and could again be hard to read at small sizes. Pixel fonts can be embedded and stay sharp and crisp. You can find some freebies out there, here for example...
