I have two buildings connected using fiber and 2 Cisco Catalyst 3524 Switches. I have connected the two switches and have the two buildings networked using a VPN.

The company connects to a Chrysler system using a separate network and a satellite hookup.

My question is: Is it possible to set up the switches so that the buildings are able to share both the Chrysler and VPN resources? In other words, can I have two distinct networks sharing one switch?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Kevin G

Yes both networks could share the same switch. If you want to restrict or filter traffic from both networks create access-lists. Why do you need a VPN setup to connect 2 offices when there already connected through fiber?
