I am new to networking and I am having some problems trying to share a printer at a NT workstation with a Win98 PC. I believe I have set the printer up to be shared on the NT workstation correctly. The printer is shared as HP1100 and it's permissions are for full control to everyone. When I install the printer on the Win98 PC, I can not print at all. I have tried to install the printer locally to LPT1 and then capture the network port. I have also tried to just install the printer from my network neighborhood. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate them.

Thanks for any help.

When you installed the driver on the NT, you were given the option of whether other operating systems would need access. You might want to check your printer driver configuration and add that Win98 will be needing a driver.

You can also add the 98 driver to the 98 machine. The 98 machine will then use its own drivers when printing.

My thoughts would be along the same lines as the others re printer drivers but, KISS principle here, do you have print sharing enabled? (Control Panel, Network, File and Print Sharing)
