What would be the best way to share a printer between a mac and pc? I've got a pc running Windows xp and a mac running os 9.x

Is it a postscript printer? is it a network printer? what port are you using to connect to the printer?

It is not a postscript printer, it's just connected with usb.

You'll need a PS option installed on the printer if available. Then the Mac can use the PS driver and the PC can use whatever else they gave you i.e. PCL.
Check the manuf. site

I just recently had a new hard drive installed in my PC, and whatever previous settings that may have existed are by the boards. I am networked to Apple Laserwriter (which I have used for years!) which does not print what I send - the fonts are all wrong. I am also networked with an ECRM Scriptsetter (negatives) (also used for years), and it only shows symbols - tall rectangles. I don't think my customers will understand. I've talked with our resident Nerd, and all he says is that he knows nothing about Apple. Help!!

Blessings!
