Sharing Outlook

I want to have a shared outlook diary to be used and accessed from a number of offices. Any thoughts on how to get started and is this a good choice of software for a shared diary. are there any better?

I have a single user VPN set up at the moment but want to share from 3 offices. I guess I will need to set up VPN's from all the offices.

Any starting thoughts from experience would be great.
