Do you want to use the ATA2 to share a modem/fax or a phone?
If it's for a phone, you would be better with 2 sets either analog, digital or IP. You'll be able to create one mailbox for each(if you need it)and they can use their phone at the same time which you can't do if you share an ATA.
One can interrupt the others data and may need to dial again.....depends on modem setup perhaps and also how often they uise it.
If your short on ports get the second user a Konexx ATA that uses the b2 channel off the Norstar set.
Maybe they could use an appearance of that ATA's DN on their set to see if in use.
