We have a small network using 192.168.x.x IP addresses behind a Cisco PIX firewall. We will be using the Cisco VPN client to connect into our network. I wanted to know if sharing folders on users desktop machines at work will pose any problems outside the office? I understand any shared folders on users machines would have to be protected form other users inside the company with Permissions. Is there a risk of someone outside accessing the folders, assuming the VPN connections are secure?

If you mean the users over VPN, yes they will be able to see the shares but will still be restricted by passwords. If you mean hackers and such, the PIX should keep you secure from outside intrusion...

Thanks,
