I am having a two node, active/passive cluster with Windows 2000 advance server.

In my system I have a report folder which is to be common in both server and have to share (with full access) it for report generations to client.

but in case of any failover or restart of the system the folder losses sharing.

this has created problem as the saving of reports in the during business hour when this activity becomes very frequent.

is there any solution to it. Please help as i am not constantly monitoring my server.

You will need to remove the share from the individual server, and setup a file share as a resource. This way it will fail over with the cluster.

Make it dependard on the host name and the drive it's sharing.
