I want to share a mapped network drive from my workstation. I have 2 network cards in my workstation. The first one is a wireless card that shares Internet and files. The second is an Intel Pro 100 with a cross-over cable connected to my file server. I don't want to put the file server on the wireless network, but I would like to share some files, that and I don't want to buy another wireless card. From my workstation I can map a network drive to the server, but there is no sharing tab under properties. Is there a way that I can share the mapped drive from my workstation to the rest of the users on the wireless network?

Thanks,

Jonathan

You can't share a mapped drive, however, you can share a folder WITHIN a mapped drive. Copy the files that you want to be shared to a subfolder of the directory that you map, and you should be able to route them through your wireless workstation.
Hope this helps. MCSE, A+
