I have two PC's and one ADSL.
Both PC are using 10/100 NIC's and a 100Mb HUB.
Due to the ISP's configuration of the ADSL-modem, there is a problem using a "clean" 100 Mb hub. It is supposed to be a 10/100.
BUT.... what happens if I force those two NIC's to work on 10 Mb only......

Anyone tried/testet/experienced such a config?

I am guessing that the modem is 10 meg only.

If the hub is 100 meg only, then it will not work with 10 meg devices, I am betting a small 10/100 switch or 10 meg hub on ebay is the answer
I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

If you want to have different NIC's running at different speeds (eg 10Mbps/s on the modem/router and 100Mbit/s on the PC's) you will need a switch that supports 10/100Mbit/s

A hub will just fallback to the lowest speed of any of the NIC's.
