Hi,

I have a site with a directory layout something like this:

MainSiteDocRoot
|-SubsFolder
|-Subdomain1
|-Subdomain2
|-Subdomain3
|-SharedImages

Originally you would access the sub sites by going to:

But now our fearless leader wants to access them using both the old url and the subdomain:

So I created a site for each subdomain, which works, except all the subdomains use a common area for certain images. These are broken because the docroot for each domain is set to it corresponding subdomain folder, leaving the shared images folder out of the tree.

What is my best solution to this problem. The big man insists that the path in the browser display "subdomain.mainsite.com" so a simple redirect is not the answer.

Thanks in advance for your advice and taking the time to read!

Amazing. Nobody has a solution for this? This is so easy with Apache/Linux using simlinks. Is there a Windows 2003 symlink?
