A business (CompanyA.com) buys another business(CompanyB.com).

Both companies are running AD2003 and Exchange2003. A forest trust has been set-up between the 2 forests.

They now want users to be able to share calendars regardless of which Forest they are in.

What is the best way to achieve this?

Only free solution is MS IIFP and Interorg util will give you capability of doing GALSync and free / busy calendaring.
However you do need Windows 2003 Enterprise to run IIFP on for some reason best known to Microsoft.

Just did this last week and it works very well.

IIFP is a bit of a pig to set up but MS provide a walkthrough guide (although that is for MIIS- IIFP is a cut down version) that is quite good. Just make sure that when you are setting up the agents that you select all the attributes you might ever want to sync. Adding them after the fact is a pain.
