If I have 4 computers on our network running office xp, how can I share everyones calendar to determine when people are busy or free. I have looked at Microsoft's free/busy option but prefer to keep everything in our network. We do not have exchange server.

In addtion is it possible tohave a global address book as well?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hopefully this is what you are looking for.

Granting access to your Calendar:

1. If the Folder List is not visible, click the View menu, click Folder List, and then select the Calendar you want to share with another person.
2. Right-click the Calendar you want to share, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.
3. Click the Permissions tab.
4. Click Add.
5. In the Type name or select from list box, type or select the name of the person you want to grant sharing permissions to.
6. Click Add, and then click OK.
7. In the Name box, click the name of the person you just added.
8. In the Roles box, click the permissions you want.

Have the user that has been granted access, access the calendar by:

1. Clicking on Tools and then Services.
2. Highlight MS Exchange Server and click Properties.
3. Click on the Advanced tab and then click Add.
4. In the Add box, have the user type the last name, first name (Last, First) of the person sharing the Calendar.
5. Click OK.
6. Caller should now be able to see the Calendar in the folder list.

Hopefully this is what you are looking for.

flyinbrian99, does this work without an Exchange server? If it ain't broken, play with it till it breaks.
