Sharing an X Session?

I have been doing some digging to see if I can "share" an X session between two hosts. After reading the "All You Need To Know About X" article I found it to boast this:

"two or more people can share the same display and work together on the same desktop and application"

How do I do this? Any help you have to offer will be GREATLY appreciated...

KDE comes with a desktop sharing program. I'm not sure how it works under the hood and whether the program is distributed outside of KDE. You can also use classic VNC, but this does not allow for locally displayed session, only remotely displayed (so you have to run X, then run a vnc client and connect to the "non-local" X that VNC is running). KDE desktop sharing uses VNC to communicate, but it allows for a locally displayed session. I know that's a bit confusing but try the vnc and kde websites for a more clear explanation.

thanks for you're help... to be honest though, I want to do this with nothing more than X...

I am pretty sure it can be done, I just need to figure out how! :D

hmmm, I've never heard of it being possible without VNC, but if you find a way to do it, post back some info here.
