A colleague of mine, "Debbie" at work is trying to email a copy of a large database to "Brian." Both Debbie and I use Access 2K on Wintel machines, Brian uses Filemaker Pro on an IMac.

Debbie has sent the database as comma-delimited ASCII that Brian can read (sort of), but cannot sucessfully upload into Filemaker Pro. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Tony
Tony Harris
tgharris@techie.com

If there is a MAC forum on this site they may be able to help you. Ask about sharing files between PC's and MAC's

You might want to try exporting the Access DB to an Excel file, and then importing the Excel file through Filemaker Pro on the mac...

What is happening with the ASCII file? Is it giving you an error when you import it into Filemaker, or is the data messed up?
