I have a W2k wkst with a lexmark Z605 printer attached USB. I've shared the printer but was getting "Access Denied" when trying to print from another W2k pc. I activated the Guest account without a password and now I can print. Is this the correct way to share the printer? What else have I openned up by openning the Guest account?

Thank you.

That's how I do it.
I guess you might be giving access to shared folders/drives too.

Use of the Guest account is deprecated.

What you probably need to do instead is to set permissions on the share you have created (via the Permissions... button on the Properties/Share tab); you need to add something like 'Authenticated Users' group with permission = Print (I can't remember the exact details from memory, and I no longer use Win2K).
