Hello,

I am new to this forum and also some what new to Windows 2003 SBS.

I have a Dell Power Edge 2900 server that has been running for a week with no problems. Starting Monday morning I lost Sharepoint, and WSUS. Sharepoint errors say that it cant connect to STS_Config and WSUS indicates SQL does not exist or access denied. This morning I brought in a full back up that was completed on Sunday night, but I noticed that Yosemite (backup software) was still trying to perform the nightly backup with 0% completed, so I dont think I can restore a previous backup (does it run on SQL also?).

The only thing that was done that I can think of that might have been the cause of all of this is, during a tech support remote log in, Act 2005 was uninstalled.

I appreciate any help that anyone could provide.

Ok have you tried the very basics:

1) Have you rebooted the server?
2) Have you checked all Automatic Services are running ok?

Thanks.

Thank you for your response.

Yes I have rebooted the server multiple times.

I was able to bring back both Sharepoint and WSUS and it appears that my back up program is now functioning as normal. The only thing that worries me are these two event log entries:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: SQLAgent$WSUS
Event Category: Alert Engine
Event ID: 324
Date: 2/21/2008
Time: 6:54:24 AM

Computer: SC-SERVER
Description:
SQLAgent is not allowed to run.

Everything seems to work, so I am not sure what to think about it. Once again, thank you for your help.
