I am starting to work with the SharePoint version 3. I will be moving my many sites to it later, but need to learn the product well first. It is so different, but I have a question. In SPv2, if you were a local admin on the box and were in SP as an admin, you could see/admin anything in sharepoint from the root, top-level sites, and child sites.
Now in 2003, unless I use the service account that runs my SPv3, I cannot seem to do many things. I have put myself in every local group I see thats relevant and gone into the cp and put myself in all places for administrator that I can find. What I need to know is there a place(s) that I put myself in so that I have unlimited sharepoint admin access?
