I have a clientele made up primarily of small companies where the potential SharePoint "audience" in any one client might be typically 6 people.

These clients would greatly benefit from seeing data displayed in a Digital Dashboard manner with multiple charts and/or graphs.

Now that Microsoft has eliminated their previous Digital Dashboard products and evolved them into the SharePoint product, I am not certain how best to meet my client needs.

My question is about the cost effectiveness of meeting the needs of this small a user-base with SharePoint.

Do any of you gurus support this small a user-base?

From a cost effectiveness perspective, is a separate SharePoint server a requirement?

I am certain that I will have more questions once I know about the above.

Your replies and/or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Well WSS (Windows Sharepoint Service) is free, if you have Windows 2003 Server (it needs this to run WSS), if one of your 6 people is running Windows 2003 Server it is no problem to run WSS on it while stil working on the machine.. (However the local admin is also WSS admin!)

Greetings
