Hello,

I am one of the sponsors working on our Engineering firms' collaboration suite of tools and services.
We have OpenText Livelink as our document repository, we recently began using Sharepoint as our collaboration solution for our engineering projects (specs, documentation, discussions, wikis). I am curious as i am not familiar with Livelink - but we want to migrate document libraries from Sharepoint projects to Livelink when the projects have completed.

Is there any automated way to migrate our project document libraries from Sharepoint on project completion?
Is there any product we can purchase that can achieve this requirement, or do we have to look at getting developer resources to customize something?

Thanks!

Peter

There's a product from ECM Wise named SharePoint to Livelink Records Archival Tool (SLRAT).
SLRAT moves documents/lists/discussions from SharePoint to Livelink (or Content Server) and allows you to apply classifications, metadata and perms etc. Pretty sure it does wiki's too.

Anyway, It's pretty easy to use and not near as expensive as AGA. Looks like it should do everything that you are looking for.

Hello,

Thanks for the helpful replies. I will ask our team to look into both Application Governance and Archiving and ecm wise tools.
Curious, are these tools Livelink side or SharePoint installs?

We are planning for implementation in 2014, and our IT budget for this one is pretty low so hopefully we can get something in place with good bang for buck.

Thanks again.

Peter.

The SLRAT Tool from ECM Wise requires the Livelink web services to be enabled however, the installation of the product is done on the SharePoint side.

Hope that helps!
