Sharepoint Team Servcies: MSDE or SQL Server

I'm currently working on a project for a Groupware system for about 150 users (forums, notioce boards, some documents). There will probably be one home site and about 10 departmental "sub webs". It looks as though we're going to go for Sharepoint Team Servcies. Can I get by with MSDE or do I need an SQL Server ?

We are using MSDE on a Windows 2000 Server and it works just fine. The documentation seems to indicate that either is fine.
