Sharepoint Team Discussion Reply Without Quoting Original Text 1

Hi. We have Sharepoint 2007 on a 2003 server. I have set up a page for our office to use. We can create a team discussion just fine.

Is there a way to reply to a specific team discussion without A) The quoted text from the original message and/or B) without all of the HTML info? (My users don't know HTML and either mess it up or find it intimidating.
