Sharepoint setting announcments to automatically delete

when you say delete are you refering to delete on the main page where it is displayed or delete totally from the database? if you only want to delete it from the main page, you can jus set the expiry date to 2 weeks after your posting date when you create the new announcement.
i do not think you can automatically delete an announcement from database.
