SharePoint Services 3.0 and incoming email

Hi everyone,

I'm pretty new to SharePoint Services and I want to setup incoming mail for our SharePoint site. I've looked at different documentations and tutorials but I can't seem to figure out the incoming email. We have an exchange server here which we use for our emails and such. So the question is, how do i setup SharePoint to work with exchange so it can receive emails and if this is a very broad question, then i would appreciate it if someone at least directed me toward the right direction.

Add/Remove Programs: Make sure SMTP is installed as a component of IIS.

Make sure that the server IP that you are running Central Admin on is in the allowed list of servers that can relay/send to your Exchange server.

Central Administration -> Operations tab ->

- Incoming email settings
- Outgoing email settings

This was the document that I used when configuring incoming mail with exchange 2003. I imagine you could extrapolate for exchange 2007.
