Sharepoint RSS

Hello,

I have created an rss feed from a task list on a Sharepoint page and I want to then consume that rss on a seperate web page.

When I try to get the rss feed from another asp.net page then I get an error saying:

The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.

This must be to so with the ASPNET account not being able to get the feed? Is there anyway that I can publish the RSS feed so that anyone can view it?

Does the owner of the target page have permissions to view the content on the page that's being published via RSS? How about the viewer of the RSS feed?

Are you able to view the feed if you access the feed from a page in the same site that the list originated in?

Have you tried adding the app pool account from the target website to the permissions list of the original list?
