Hi everyone...I am doing research for my company on the capabilities of Microsoft Sharepoint Portal Server as we are deciding whether or not to use it...I was wondering if it is possible to have separate pages organized within Sharepoint for specific projects?(different page for each project)...also, for the "web parts", are you able to create your own apps or programs to integrate with the pages?

also, do you guys know of any alternative programs that accomplish the same tasks as Sharepoint?

Any help with any of these questions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Well, I can answer one of your questions. We are considering SharePoint for corporate project management and the "new page for each project" was one of our questions also. Yes, you can create a new "Home" for each project, and that is probably the way we will choose to go.

I can awnser another of your questions, Yes it is possible to make your own Webparts, you can make em do any thing that you can do with the .NET framework and the Sharepoint object model. So that covers just about anything, i havent gotten it to make me breakfast tho....
