Hey all,

I have searched the forums and tried different suggestions in other threads regarding my problem and I am still not able to get this working correctly.

I would like to be able to map the sharepoint libraries to a drive. On my laptop I can get this work, no problem. Although, I did have to install the package: SPSClient.msi.

I am having trouble getting my Windows Server 2003 machines to even be able to open the Web Folder. When I open IE and go to open i enter: (and I check the box 'open as web folder').

IE replies with: "internet explorer could not open as a web folder. would you like to see its default view instead?"

Now, this works fine on my laptop. Any ideas??

Have you installed webdev on the Server machine... Probably not, because if i am right it usually gets installed as a part of MS Office. There is a seperate install too.

ok, the problem was that windows server 2003 does not enable the 'Webclient' service by default. I started this service and all is working well :)

Thanks.
