I believe that I am using account creation mode in Sharepoint Team Services on a windows 2000 sp4 terminal services. I am using non preexisting domain accounts that show up on the active directory that I created through the sharepoint admin webpage and therefore have IIS setup to use basic authentication. The user name appears as
domain/username on sharepoint.
My question is does this type of license take up a windows server license. I have looked in the admin tools>>licensing and all the account have the yellow triangle exclamation marks on them. I read on the microsoft website that if a user has windows xp or 2000 that he is automaticallly granted a license for sharepoint accessing.
What is the policy on licensing in regards to this. Does anyone know of any documentation for this?
thanks
