Is there any way, following doing a search for an item that when the search results appear, you can delete an item from the result list rather than having to then browse to the site to delete? There is no option to delete an item when the list appears whereas in file share, you can search an item, the list appears and you can then delete.

Is this a restriction with Foundation or does it happen in all versions of SharePoint?

Thanks.

Well the down and dirty quick way would be to add it to the Search Result Removal list. This is in SharePoint 2010 Central Administration > Application Management > Manage Service Applications > Search Service Application > Search Result Removal, then just put the url in the list. Now you could also add a metadata property for hiding the data and then set that as an exclusion to the scope when equal to a value.
Example:
In my "people" scope I exclude users with the property "HideUser = HIDE" .

Windows Haiku:

Serious error.
All shortcuts have disappeared.
Screen. Mind. Both are blank.
