Sharepoint Calendar View - Year planner - possible?

Hi,
I want to use the Sharepoint Project Tracking template to manage our projects - but due to the nature of the projects, we need to see them on a year planner. I seem to be only able to display the day/week/month calendars - is there are 'year' option out there?

Nothing obvious out of the box. It seems that the Daily/Weekly/Monthly options are coded directly into the pre-defined Calendar View (calendar.aspx) and I can't find how to change that.

The closest I can find is either the All Events view (a plain list which you could filter as required) or the Gantt view (that has a more time-based view but still isn't really a proper year planner).

Perhaps you would be able to create the view you want with SharePoint Designer (formerly FrontPage). But I haven't seen the product and it's not a no-cost option.
