Sharepoint calendar numbering occurances???

Hi
I am using Sharepoint 2010 and am about to create a personnel calendar. The idea of the calendar is to show start dates and anniversaries for each member of staff.

I would like to create a reoccuring appoinment that auto numbers each of its occurance. So say I put in May 1st 2008 as someones join date on May 1st 2009 I would like 1 year join date anniversary. 1st of may 2010 then 2 year join date anniversary. Is there a way to do this do you know.
