I appreciate your help in advance.

I have installed Windows Sharepoint on my Windows 2003 server. Using the typical install (not the server farm) for the SQL process

What I don't understand is why the server does not see the Active directory. I changed the IIS for that site to use Windows authenication.

Please help

Hello,

Have you checked so that SharePoint is not using the MSDE instead of the real SQL? When you do a typical installation (without the server farm) I think that SharePoint automatically installs with the MSDE instead of the real SQL (atleast that is what happened to be first time I installed ;) ).

Regards,
Thomas
