Sharepoint authentication help !

Hi,

Im having problem to access a sharepoint services based website via a squid proxy server. When accessing the site using i got the following error msg :

ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While trying to retrieve the URL: [no URL]

The following error was encountered:

Read Error
The system returned:

(131) Connection reset by peer
An error condition occurred while reading data from the network. Please retry your request.

Im using only basic authentication on the web, since NTLM is not supported via a proxy. Anonymous access is not an option. But when i enable anonymous access, it works, but when i switch back to just basic, i got the same error as above.
Anyone in here that have a tips for this problem?

Hello,

Which version of Squid Proxy are you running? This does not sound like a specific sharepoint problem might be something in the Proxy configuration or that the version of squid proxy does not work that well with SharePoint. I have seen some issues with it before.
