Hi
I am very new to sharepoint but have created several sites in the past. I have experience with Dreamweaver.

I have been tasked with creating a Intranet for our small company. I have got so far but now need a little assistance please.

I installed WSS 3 on our small business 2003 server. I have created my site but for some reason the access URL is I would like this to be something a little more meaningful but cant find how to do it. As a last resort I thought about creating a webpage that redirects to this weird URL.

I would like to edit one of the themes as well and read that you should be able to open your website in Frontpage and piddle about with it. When I click Open Site and paste my url in it comes back saying it could not open url contains / \ characters.

Any idea why I cant open this !

Thanks for your help guys, expect a few more questions before my project is completed. I apologise now!! ;)

Hi found this on the MS site

"Only Office SharePoint Designer 2007 can open and edit upgraded sites You and your team members will not be able use Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003 to open and edit Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 sites. You must use Office SharePoint Designer 2007 to edit and customize Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and Office SharePoint Server 2007 sites."
I have opened a wws3 site in frontpage but it moved everything around and i couldn't rebuild it after.
Also have a look here at editing sites

Regards
Max
