SharePoint 2013 - strange views

I've installed a sharepoint server for testing purposes for now. Although I've struggled to get it installed (problems with the AppFabric prerequisites) it is now working. I've setup the security integration to AD but strangely enough, I see only the top toolbar and the logo when logged on from a workstation. From the server everything looks fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
