In a bit of a bind here...
I've inheritied a messy SharePoint 2010 installation and an accompanying SSRS setup that has never worked. Now we are at a point where we really need the functionality, and it will not work. Here's whats currently existing in our setup
SQL Server- Machine 1- Standalone on this server
Sharepoint 2010- Machine 2- Standalone server
Stay with me here....there is a copy of SSRS installed and configured on BOTH of the above machines. I know this is probably causing my issue, but I frankly don't know how to undo it.
Issue #1: When I migrate to the SharePoint reports library I get the following message:
This operation is not supported on a report server that is configured to run in SharePoint integrated mode. (rsOperationNotSupportedSharePointMode)
Which would lead me to believe that the ReportServer DB is not setup in SP Integrated Mode- which is not true- it is...on BOTH instances of SSRS (they are both pointed to the same database, on the same server).
Issue #2: When I go into SP Central Admin to "Activate" reporting services integration, I get an activation failed status- for the SP Central Admin Site Collection- which I don't even care about, but I think it is preventing it from activating in my main site collection. When I check in the Site Collection Features of my "main" SP site, Reporting Server Integration Feature shows as "Active".
I don't really want to do anything else until I get some direction from someone with more experience with SP2010 and SSRS than I have.
Thanks in advance!
