Hi all,
does anyone have any suggestions on the best ways to use the content editor web part, as i think its' usefulness should be utilized and its discrepencies solved. thanks.
this is my first time here. I've been working with sharepoint 2003 since nov.2006. Still learning. our company is thinking of converting from sharepoint 2003 to sharepoint 2007. some of the developers here are avoiding the content editor web part like the plague, for various reasons. One of the reasons being that, if there's any css in the editor, it'll be hard to maintain by the content contributor. that is valid. i'm thinking, that is not really meant to be changed by the content contributor, but a general style that is corporate... anyways, the other reason they avoid the content editor web part is that they say that once our company switches from sharepoint 2003 to sharepoint 2007, it'll be harder to maintain. I'm thinking if I put the css in a general area, like in the style sheets... then all the code or content editors drawing from it will be changed together. then again, some business owners my want to customize this area and not be part of the mass css change...
