Our Internet DSL connection recently went down. Using a Netopia router, it was setup to allow telnet in. I wasn't able to telnet or ping our WAN IP from the outside...I did a bunch of other testing. The service provider said they can get to their modem, but can't see the mac address of our nic. I could get from the router to the gateway ip, but no further. Anyway, they say it's a router problem.
THEN TODAY, I go to try to telnet in and I get SOMEONE ELSE'S ROUTER. I verified I had the correct WAN IP and am awaiting a response from the provider as to what's up. Anyone know why this might happen?
