What I want to do is include a total on the main report which I am forced to calculate in a sub-report it works fine until I try and supress the sub-report( Dont need to see the detail just need the total)

Is this a limitation or am I missing something obvious ?

any help appreciated

JD

Hello,

I presume the subreport is then in the Main Report Footer. Then from there don't supress the subreport. Go into the subreport and then right click on the grey section where it show the differant sections of your report and Hide the Header and Details section leaving the Footer where your total is still viewable.

That should then sort out your problem.

Cheers

If the subreport is suppressed, Crystal does not run it and therefore the answer isn't available.

You can suppress most details of a subreport, and also make it very small, nearly invisible.
