I have looked at all of the tips and suggestions for shared variables that I could find on this board, and I have tried them...but no dice...

So, I am using CR 8.5 with Solomon IV 5.0 and an MSSQL and MSExcel data sources. I have a main report and two subreports with shared numbervar's when I run the subreports by themselves, the numbervars are returning the correct values, but in the main report they are returning 0.

I called the variables in the group footers below each subreport, I have reset the variables in the report header, the group header and the report footer (evaluateafter)... I am stuck!

Some basic checks is to ensure that the Shared variables declared in the sub report and main report are the same name and type.

Also make sure you have the whileprintingrecords for each variable.
If the above is okay, you may need to post more details on you report.
Here is an exmple how I use shared variables.
I initialise the variable as i declare it in the sub.
//{@shared var name in sub report}
whileprintingrecords;
shared numbervar ShrInvoiceSales :=0;
ShrInvoiceSales := sum({@Invoice Sales})

in the main report I have
//{@shared var name in main report}
whileprintingrecords;
shared numbervar ShrInvoiceSales;
