Shared variable

Hello all,
I have an issue with Shared variables. I have an on demand subreport and I am passing a shared variable from main report to sub report and it works fine. But when I export the on demand sub report to Excel data only It wont pass the shared variable, It works fine with the pdf and excel.
Any work around for this?

Surprising. Are you displaying the value of the Shared Variable in the main report?

Or does it have something to do with sections not exported wiht Excel data: Crystal often "gets smart" and makes unexpected decisions about what you really want. It might decide that a section exported need not be run again and so lost the data.

This is based on Crystal 11. It helps to give your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. Methods sometimes change between versions, and higher versions have extra options.

Thanks Madawc for the reply.
I have done aggregation(sum) in the main report and passed the total to the on demand sub-report, where I have subtracted the shared main report total from the from the sub-report total.
It is exporting everything, but where as the subreport total is concerned It is just displaying the sub report total, rather than subtraction.

The version of crystal I am using is 11.5.

You could try passing back the result to the main report. If it's not that, then I have no idea.
