I have a subreport in a group footer and a shared variable from that subreport that I need to use on the detail section. The problem is that it is pulling the information but there is a "lag". I cannot move the subreport above the detail line because the information from the subreport is printing at the bottom of the report. Is there a way to make this work????

subBorrower.rpt is sub report

{@borrower} is the shared variable...

Please tell us what section the subreport is in--group footer or report footer, show the content of your formula, and explain what the subreport link to the main report is, if any. We should also know what the group structure is for the main report.

Don't know what you mean by:

I cannot move the subreport above the detail line because the information from the subreport is printing at the bottom of the report.

Why can't you also use a shared variable to move the subreport value to the main report? Then you could have the subreport above the detail line, use one shared variable in the detail line and print the other at the bottom of the report.
