Using CR 9 for a report with a subreport in the main report header. The subreport calcs a mannual conditioned running total that is placed in a Shared NumberVar to bring it back to the main report for percentage calcs for the group running totals. The main report preview shows the correct data and percentages. Upon drill down to the detail behind the group summary, the Shared NumberVar is detected as equal to zero. Probably an evaluation timing error, but how can I resolve it??? Any help would be very much appreciated:)

You could start by stating particulars here, such as the formulas used and where.

Are you resetting the sharedvar after the report header? It sounds like it.

Sorry, I'll add some detail. Thanks for you response. The main report has two levels of grouping, one for sales rep(shown), the other for sale type(hidden, with drill-down). I want to report as a percentage the running total (conditioned by a formula to add in only certain records) for a given rep divided by the enterpize grand total. So, I created the subreport in the header to do the manual conditioned grand total and assign it to a shared variable. (executed WhilePrintingRecords after grouping data and before the rest of the main report, so the grand total is known) Dividing a given rep's running total by that shared grand total prints the correct percentage for each rep.

I did the same for the running totals for each type of sale under each rep. However, the shared grand total for these running total percentages goes to zero when I drill down to the sales type grouping level.

Why? Shouldn't the shared variable value be available for drill-down as well? Hope this helps you see something I dont. Thks in advance. -R

Oh, I forgot to say that the rep running total and percentage formula are in the rep group footer....and the sales type running total and percentage are in the hidden sales type group footer.
